O OCTAVO
- Pode ser que seja difícil evita-los. As pessoas aparecem em nossas vidas sem a nossa ordem e ficam sem que as convidemos. Elas nos trazem conhecimentos que não buscamos, dadivas que não queremos. Mas ainda assim, precisamos delas. - Ela curvou-se para uma gaveta estreita escondida abaixo da borda da mesa e tirou de la um baralho e um tecido de musselina enrolado. - Essas cartas são usadas para a minha mais elevada forma de adivinhação: O Octavo. Devido ao brilho de sua visão, essas são as cartas que quero dispor a para você. - Ela embaralhou cuidadosamente, cortou o baralho em três pilhas e em seguida juntou as cartas, formando uma unica pilha.
