Quando Buda encontra seus discípulos na borda de um lago ele diz esta parábola: “Imaginai, ó monges, que uma tartaruga cega que carrega um jugo de madeira ponha-se a nadar em todos os lagos do mundo. A cada cem anos essa tartaruga cega emerge uma vez só para respirar. Acreditais que essa tartaruga poderá libertar sua cabeça de seu jugo?” Os monges responderam: “Não, Senhor, é absolutamente impossível e ela não pode estar ao mesmo tempo num lugar e em todos os lagos do mundo”. Buda responde: “É improvável, no entanto, não é impossível. Como também é improvável que nasça um ser humano com todos os seus membros e sentidos e também com a faculdade de entender a palavra da verdade”.
Podemos encontrar nesta parábola uma grande consolação. Uma ocasião maravilhosa é ofertada à humanidade e a cada microcosmo, e isso em nosso mundo. Mesmo sendo um mundo decaído, ele é, no entanto, um lugar de graça onde existe uma única possibilidade de encontrar o caminho de retorno. O reino de Deus é a única fonte de tudo o que existe. No momento em que a pureza da nova alma se reflete na fonte original, a água viva dessa fonte tem a possibilidade de se refletir sobre todo o universo.
A parable of Buddha
When Buddha finds his disciples on the edge of a lake he tells this parable : " Imagine , O monks , that a blind turtle who carries a wooden yoke put yourself swimming in all lakes in the world . Every one hundred years this blind turtle emerges once to breathe . Believe that this turtle can free his head from his yoke " The monks replied, " No, Lord , it is absolutely impossible and it can not be both a place and in all lakes in the world . " Buddha replies : "It is unlikely , however , is not impossible . It is also unlikely that a human being is born with all their limbs and senses and also with the faculty to understand the word of truth . "
We can find a great consolation in this parable . A wonderful opportunity is offered to mankind and each microcosm , and that in our world . Even being a fallen world , it is , however , a place of grace where there is a unique opportunity to find the way back . The kingdom of God is the only source of all that exists . At the moment the purity of the new soul is reflected in the original source , the living water from this source has the opportunity to reflect on the whole universe .
