The message of the Prince of Bethar about living lamp
Naronda: Since the Master returned from Bethar, Shamadam walked amudado and retracted. Upon arriving, however, the day of Noah, became excited and alive, taking the personal direction of the intricate preparations down to the smallest detail.
As the Vine Day, the Day of the Ark had been extended from one day to an entire week of festivities merry and lively trade in all sorts of goods and chattels.
Of the many peculiar rituals to this day, the most important are: the killing of an ox to be offered in sacrifice, igniting the fire of sacracrifício and firing, this fire, the new lamp that replaces the old dee on the altar. All this is performed by the Superior large ceremonial to which the audience watches, ending each wizard by lighting a candle in the new bulb, these candles that are then erased and zealously kept as talismans against evil spirits. At the end are ceremonial, it is customary to make a Superior sermon.
Pilgrims Day Ark, like the Day of the Vine, rarely fail to bring gifts and donations, Sejan that species is. Most brings oxen, goats or sheep, apparently to be sacrificed along with the bullock was offered by the Ark, but in reality, are intended to increase the herd of the Ark, and not to be slaughtered. The new lamp is usually gifted by some prince or magnate Alvas Mountains. And, as it is considered a great honor and a privilege to present this, and how competitors are many, estabeleu to the custom of making the choice each year by lot executed at the end of the festivities of the previous year. The princes and magnates vie in zeal and devotion, each wishing that your lamp surpasses all previous in charge, beauty of design and wealth of craftsmanship.
Luck, paa this year, was appointed Prince of Bethar. All waited, eager to see the new bulb, because the prince was famous for his generous wealth as well as his zeal for the Ark.
On the eve of that day, Shamadam called us as well as the Master, to his cell and told us what follows, addressing the Master more than us:
Shamadam: Tomorrow's holy day, and we must behave in order to keep it holy.
Whatever the dissensions of the past are, we bury them here and now. The Ark should not suffer a delay in its progress or a decrease in its ardor. And God forbid she has to stop.
I'm the Superior of this ark. My heavy duty is to command it. Was invested right to trace her route. This duty and this right was conferred upon me by inheritance, as certainly will be the one of you when I die. As I waited my turn, wait your.
If harmed Mirdad, he forgive my iniquity.
Mirdad: You did not hurt Mirdad, but you did, and seriously, the Shamadam.
Shamadam: And Shamadam is not free to harm Shamadam?
Mirdad: Free to do evil? As these words are incoherent! Harm, although it yourself, you become a slave of the evil that is practiced. While harming others, is staying slave slave. Oh, and weighs the bad!
Shamadam: If I am willing to bear the weight of my mistake, to thee do you care?
Mirdad: I would say a carious tooth in the mouth: "What do you care my pain, if I'm willing to accept it?"
Shamadam: Oh, let me! Leave me alone! Remove from me thy heavy hand and I do not flageles with your smart tongue. Let me live the rest of my days as I have lived and worked until today. Go and build your ark anywhere else, but this makes Noah. The world is big enough for you and me to your chest and mine. Tomorrow is my day. Stay out and let me do my work, because I will not tolerate any interference on the part of you.
Beware! Revenge of Shamadam is terrible as God. Beware! Beware!
Naronda: As we left the cell of Superior, Master shook his head and said:
Mirdad: The heart of Shamadam is still the heart of Shamadam.
Naronda: The next morning, to the delight of Shamadam, the ceremonies were executed on time and without any untoward incidents, until the moment when the new lamp should be lit and displayed.
At that moment, a very tall, imposing man dressed in white, began to pave the way with difficulty through the crowd, heading for the altar. In an instant, a whisper passed from mouth to mouth: the man was a special Prince of Bethar that brought new light and everyone was eager to see the precious treasure.
Shamadam bowed down Messenger, believing him to bring the precious gift for the new year, but man, having said something in a low voice Shamadam, pulled out a parchment and, after explaining that it was the message of the Prince of Bethar that was tasked to submit personally began to read:
- A former Prince of Bethar all his fellow citizens of Alvas Mountains, gathered on this day, the Ark - peace and brotherly love.
My fervent devotion to the Ark, you are all living witnesses. As the honor of giving the lamp, for this year, touched me, have spared no effort and wealth for my gift was worthy of Noah, and my efforts were rewarded, as the lamp that my wealth and my ability to craftsmen was finally created a true wonder to behold.
But God was gracious and kind and I did not want to expose my miserable poverty, and issolevou me to meet a lamp whose light is dim, unquenchable, whose beauty is unsurpassed and stainless. By having this lamp, I was terribly embarrassed to have ever thought that my other lamp had any value.
I launched it, because the garbage heap.
And it is this living light, not crafted by human hands, that I, with all diligence, I trust you all. Give a feast to your eyes watching her, and her kindle your sails. Behold, is your power: his name is Mirdad.

Scarcely had he uttered the last words, and Shamadam, who had been standing beside him, suddenly disappeared, as if it were a ghost.
